Marching for Home, Together
This past weekend, Townspeople took to the streets of Hillcrest for the 2025 San Diego Pride Parade with our largest Pride contingent ever! We’ve doubled in size since 2022, and the energy this year was nothing short of electric.
From powerful signs and bright lavender t-shirts to our annual 4-foot balloon letters that spell “HOME,” our team showed up loud, proud, and united around a clear message: Housing is Health Care, and housing is for everyone.
Our contingent included Townspeople staff, friends, and families, along with incredible support from community partners at the San Diego Housing Federation, Rise Up Residential, and the County of San Diego. Even our tiniest supporters walked (or strolled) with us, all full of joy.
The weather was on our side (though our balloon carriers might have preferred a little less breeze 
), and the crowds were welcoming and enthusiastic. For many of us, this year felt especially important: With anti-LGBTQ+ legislation and housing instability affecting more people every day, being visible and present was not just an act of celebration, but of advocacy.
