#WeAllCount (PITC) 2026: Townspeople Recap
This year marked the 5th consecutive year that Townspeople served as a coordination site for the annual #WeAllCount Point-in-Time Count (PITC) on Thursday, January 29. From 4:00–8:00 a.m., a group of 50+ volunteers joined Townspeople to gather crucial data on individuals experiencing homelessness in Hillcrest and University Heights.
Joining Townspeople staff on this year’s effort were Scott Peters, United States Representative for California’s 50th Congressional District; San Diego City Councilmember Stephen Whitburn; and partners from the County of San Diego, Volunteering with Cheli, PATH, and the San Diego Housing Federation.
Townspeople Board Members Steven Larky and Rebecca Secord also participated in the count, with Steven generously donating coffee and snacks for volunteers. Townspeople staff including Cesar Morales, Veronica Chavez, Isabel Mora, Tracy Wilson, and Executive Director Melissa Peterman coordinated logistics and volunteer support.
Many thanks to all who contributed their time, resources, and expertise to this important work!
