End-of-Year Giving 2024: Meade Avenue

We’re Raising $200,000 to Transform Lives Through Shared Housing

Thanks to the generous support of an anonymous donor, Townspeople has secured a new home to serve as a shared housing site! Once minor renovations are complete, this beautiful property on Meade Avenue in the El Cerrito neighborhood will become home to three households, with room for additional units—including a tiny home funded by our primary donor.

To ensure the home’s long-term success as an affordable housing solution, our primary donors have issued a $200,000 fundraising challenge to inspire support from our community. Contributions from generous partners—including an anonymous donor, the David C. Copley Foundation, the BQuest Foundation, and the Cuore e Mani Foundation—have laid the groundwork for success. With a $75,000 contingent pledge from the Lucky Duck Foundation, we are closer than ever to making this dream a reality. Every donation now helps unlock this pledge. Help us meet our $200,000 goal!

When you donate to this end-of-year campaign, you help create safe, stable, and affordable housing at Meade Avenue—a co-living space where neighbors become housemates and community grows.

Join the movement—Spread the word on social media and in your networks! By resharing our Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn posts on #GivingTuesday and beyond, as well as talking about the opportunity to do something NOW to help end homelessness in San Diego, you improve our chances to reach new supporters and advocates.

Together, we can make this vision a reality for those who need it most. Thank you for helping Townspeople transform lives through shared housing.
